A new competence center has been created in the capital on the basis of the Mosproekt-4 design Institute. The reorganization will bring the design of the urban environment to a qualitatively new level. This was announced by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction.
"The creation of the basic institute marks a return to the best traditions of the Moscow School of Design, enriched with modern technologies. The new competence center will become a platform where advanced solutions for the capital will be developed and tested, from smart public spaces to new generation construction projects. Special emphasis will be placed on the introduction of BIM technologies, which will reduce construction time and significantly reduce the cost of implementing urban infrastructure facilities," said Vladimir Yefimov.
The Center for Architectural and Engineering Competencies will combine traditions and innovations in design. It will become a promising workplace for young talents, an experimental workshop for testing and developing pilot solutions.
"The new structure is conceived not only as a design institute, but also as an educational center. It will train a new generation of designers and engineers, hold international competitions and create an environment for the professional growth of young professionals. The formation of an expert center will provide new opportunities to realize the potential of future professionals, and the creation of a scientific and technical council will allow us to assemble the best solutions for engineering and design. We are creating not just a new organization, but a modern urban planning center that will help make Moscow an even more comfortable and technologically advanced city," said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Department of Urban Planning Policy of the capital.
